Implementing Agency : Regional Centre of Organic Farming.
Objectives : Field Functionaries and extension Staff as well as progressive farmers will be given technical know-how in the area of organic input production, package of practice, on-farm resource management, certification and marketing of organic produce.
Programme Duration : 2 days duration residential training course
No. of Participants : 20 No. of participants in each course
Eligibility for participation : Participants will be Lead Resource Person (LRPs) working for organic farming (preferred), Regional Councils registered under PGS-India programme, Extension and field workers of Central and State Governments sector and private/NGO sectors, FPOs/ FPCs/ SHGs and progressive farmers.
Course content :
- Organic farming Principals, practices and its integrated approach.
- On-farm and off-farm input based nutrient and pest management approach including traditional practices and organic production management planning.
- Certification systems in organic farming including PGS-India certification and Jaivik Kheti portal operation
- Current Government schemes related to organic farming
