One Day Regional Seminar/ consultations/conferences on Organic Farming for 100 participants (PKVY LRPs)

 
Implementing Agency : Regional Centre for Organic and Natural Farming (RCONFs) in association with CAUs/SAUs/ICAR-Institutes etc.
Objectives : To promote organic farming across the country in cluster mode through capacity building of farmers. Awareness creation at village level about its need, practices and benefits. Adoption of cluster approach focusing farmers practicing organic farming along the long stretches of river Ganga.
 
Programme Duration : one days’ duration training course
No. of Participants :  100 No. of participants/farmers including other stakeholders.
Eligibility for Participation : Nodal officers of State Agriculture and Horticulture departments, progressive farmers, members of RC, SPs working under PKVY, buyer representatives and other stakeholders.
Course content : 
 
  • • To develop road map for promotion of Organic farming in mission mode
  • • Identification of focus areas for mission mode implementation of Organic farming
  • • To develop modalities/techniques for enhancing farmer’s income at village level through reduction of input cost by adoption of practices such as inter-cropping, crop waste management, nutrient management, water management etc.
  • • Awareness on importance of branding of rural products, certification of organic products their packaging, tips on value addition and role of FSSAI licensing in marketing of organically grown produce
