Implementing Agency : National/Regional Centre for Organic and Natural Farming (N/RCONFs)
Objectives : Capacity building and regular updating of Regional Councils, Service Providers on latest developments, amendments in PGS India standards and about its operational guidelines.
Programme Duration : 2 days’ duration training course
Participants : Participants will be State Extension Officers/Officers of N/SRLMs handling the work of PGS India Certification or managers of Regional Councils, Service Providers etc or LRPs, progressive farmers and active officials of Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS)/DACS involved in handling the PGS India Certification work.
Course content :
- • Overview of PGS India Organic Certification System and Standards.
- • Technical Know -how of PGS India standards and operational Manual & Handling of PGS India Portal
- • Overview of procedures involved in Individual farmer certification, Local Group certification, Processing and Handling and Large Area certification
- • Certification and inspection protocols: (Roles and Responsibilities)
- • Importance of Organic logo; certificates & transaction certificates including legal aspects of FSSAI
- • Overview of Jaivik kheti Portal and its handling
